Sebastian, Florida is a quaint riverfront fishing village located on the Sebastian River, with sweeping views of the Indian River Lagoon. The city offers visitors scenic walkways and over 16 city parks which are home to fabulous seafood feasts, foot-tapping music festivals and colorful arts festivals, many provide a kid-friendly focus. Indian River Drive, is a hotbed of activity and home to a variety of hotels and restaurants, inspiring tapas walks and weekend getaways.

The city of Sebastian is home to Sebastian Inlet State Park. The park provides fishing from both its Atlantic and Indian River shores; fishing jetties extend from both sides of the inlet into the ocean. Other activities include: swimming, enjoying the water views, world class surfing, camping, bird watching, boating and diving. Wildlife is abundant in the park, and the casual visitor can see ospreys and many species of shorebird. Sea turtles nest in the park, and visitors during the summer may make reservations for a nighttime tour to observe nesting turtles. The park also contains two museums: McLarty Treasure Museum and Sebastian Fishing Museum.  Sebastian also lays claim as the birthplace of America’s first national refuge, Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge as portions of the park reside in the intercostal waterways of Sebastian Inlet.
