About Us – Fellsmere

Fellsmere, the most rural town in Indian River County, is located in the northwestern part of Indian River County. The beautiful natural resources of the Stick Marsh make this one of the hottest trophy bass fishing lakes in the country. It is also home to the Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival, which is in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest frog leg festival in the world. Fellsmere is the home of the National Elephant Center, which opened in 2013. The National Elephant Center originates from a unique collaboration among individuals, organizations zoos accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums to ensure elephants remain a part of our future.
