How to Choose the Best Hotel for Your Family Vacation
Over 650 million long-distance trips are made every summer in the United States, and at the end of that long road, you want to make sure that you have a comfortable place to lay your head. Traveling with a family might make it especially difficult to find lodging accommodations to suit everyone’s needs and personal space, but it’s not impossible. Ask yourself these questions to choose from different types of hotels and pick the one that’s best for you.
Dine In or Out?
Many hotel suites offer kitchenettes or even full-size kitchens. While the room itself might be more expensive, it can help cut down on costs by giving you a place to prepare a few meals instead of dining out.
One Room or Two?
On the other hand, you might consider booking two adjoining hotel rooms — one for you and your partner, and one for the kids. That way, you can each get a bit of a “vacation” from each other. What’s Your Budget?
One of the main themes underlying all of these questions is the scope of your budget. Every decision comes with tradeoffs, so you’ll need to prioritize your needs and wants. A hotel suite on the outskirts of town might offer you more space at an affordable price than a cramped beachside bedroom, but you’ll have to factor in the commute, the car rental, the traffic, and the gas.
Ultimately, each family is going to be different. Consider how to get the most out of your time together and experience the vacation of a lifetime.

My husband and I are currently looking for the best places to stay in Southern Oregon because we plan to go there in a few months. Having the perfect lodging would be perfect since I think we will have to opt for mostly a staycation considering that there are still establishments that are closed due to the pandemic.
