Where to find the Best Pizza in Indian River County
Few foods ignite as much debate as pizza. Whether it’s thin and crispy, thick and chewy, wood-fired or classic New York-style, everyone has a strong opinion about what makes the perfect pie. Scroll through any local social media groups, and you’ll find plenty of people insisting that great pizza doesn’t exist in Indian River County—that you have to go back north, where pizza has supposedly reached legendary status. While I respect the passion behind those claims, I personally enjoy all styles of pizza, and I think that we have some fantastic options right here in Indian River County. This list is a mix of my personal favorites and recommendations I gathered from several social media discussion groups. This article isn’t an exhaustive guide to every great pizza spot in Indian River County—there are plenty of fantastic places that didn’t make the list, however, consider this a great starting point the next time you’re craving a slice.
Aunt Louise’s Pizzeria – Sebastian, FL
Located in the Riverwalk Shopping Plaza just north of Home Depot, Aunt Louise’s Pizzeria has been serving up quality pizza for years. While their menu offers a variety of Italian favorites, the pizza is the real standout. Their Specialty Pizza comes loaded with pepperoni, sausage, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and black olives, all baked to perfection on a flavorful crust that strikes the perfect balance between crispy and chewy. If you’re looking for something different, the Meat Stromboli is another solid choice—so good that I featured it on my foodie show, Holy Grail Eats (click to watch episode) a few years ago. Whether you’re grabbing a pie to-go or dining in, Aunt Louise’s is a go-to spot for great pizza in Indian River County.

Earl’s Hideaway Lounge – Sebastian, FL
I posted a question in the Sebastian Foodies group to see where they would recommend I grab a slice in Sebastian, and in an overwhelming response, they suggested Earl’s Hideaway Lounge more than any other place. With so many passionate endorsements, I knew it had to be included in this article. I decided to try what I thought would be the most popular choice, The Meat Pizza, which is loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ham, and meatball. At 18 inches, this monster pie was more than enough to fill up two large guys, with plenty of leftovers to spare. The flavor-packed toppings and crust made this pizza a true standout. Don’t let the motorcycles out front intimidate you—Earl’s has a relaxed vibe and great live entertainment, and if you’re not in the mood to dine in, you can always grab your pizza to-go. Either way, it’s definitely worth stopping by for a slice.

Garage Wood Fired Pizza – Vero Beach, FL
While this place is a bit hard to find, Garage Wood Fired Pizza is worth seeking out for some of the best wood-fired pizza in town. What sets their pizza apart is the intense heat and smoky flavor of their wood-fired oven, which creates the perfect balance of crispy, blistered crust and airy chew. One of my all-time favorite pizzas here was a collab between Garage Pizza and Pepper & Salt BBQ—the Pepper & Salt BBQ Brisket Pizza (pictured above). While it’s no longer on the menu, if you grab some brisket from Pepper & Salt and take it with you, they will still make it for you. Whether you’re a fan of bold toppings or a simple, perfectly cooked Margherita, Garage Wood Fired Pizza is a must-visit for anyone craving an artisan-style pie with that signature wood-fired touch.

Giorgio’s New York Pizzeria – Vero Beach, FL
The owners, Rick and Bridget, arrived in Vero Beach 3 ½ years ago looking for a fresh start and found it in Giorgio’s New York Pizzeria. They took over the pizzeria from the previous owner, George, who ran the place for 25 years, and have continued its tradition of serving up classic, foldable, thin-crust New York-style pizza. The pizza featured above is the Giorgio’s Special, loaded with pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, beef, roasted peppers, and onions, making it a must-try for anyone who loves a fully loaded, flavor-packed pie. In addition to their pizza, their Meatball Sub is also a standout dish, earning well-deserved recognition at our 2025 Golden Fork Awards (click to read more) ceremony this year. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, Giorgio’s remains a must-visit for those craving an authentic taste of New York right here in Indian River County.

Pizza Mia – Vero Beach, FL
Pizza Mia has built a strong reputation as one of the best pizza spots in Vero Beach, and it’s easy to see why. Owned by Peter, Lydia, and Mia, their family has been baking for over 200 years, bringing a rich tradition of Italian flavors to the area. Known for their fantastic selection of pizza by the slice, they offer a rotating menu of specialty pies alongside classic favorites. I tried the Classic Grandma, their Pepperoni & Sausage Sicilian thick crust, and the Asiago & Mushroom, each delivering bold flavors and perfectly baked crusts. Beyond pizza, their menu includes hearty entrées, calzones, Stromboli, oven-roasted wings, and some of the most delicious salads around. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice, ordering a whole pie, or dining at one of their charming outdoor tables, Pizza Mia is a must-visit for anyone craving top-tier pizza in Indian River County.

Pizzoodles – Vero Beach, FL
Pizzoodles has been serving up scratch-made Italian comfort food in Vero Beach since 2007, and it’s clear that their commitment to quality and flavor has earned them a loyal following. Located in the Royal Palm Pointe plaza—home to several other top local favorites—Pizzoodles came up frequently in social media discussions about the best pizza in town, so I had to give them a try. We ordered a custom pie with sausage and mushrooms, and it did not disappoint. The crust was spot-on, the toppings were flavorful, and you could taste the made-from-scratch difference in every bite. From pizza and calzones to pasta and desserts, this family-owned spot brings a warm, welcoming vibe and consistently great food to the table. Whether you’re dining in, taking out, or planning an event, Pizzoodles is a place where you’re treated like family—and well fed, too.
