Food, Fun & Festivities

Festival season is in full swing. Get your fill of fresh, local seafood or please your palate with tasty brews, and even tastier wings, at a few of our can’t-miss events this February.

As the temperatures climb back up from the frigid upper 60s, so do the number of outdoor activities you and your family can enjoy. Here are just a few of our favorites:

Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest – February 18, 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Royal Palm Pointe Park

Prepare for a fun-filled day of delicious food and a selection of over 150 local and regional craft beers. Presented by the Rotary Club of Vero Club, The Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest will also feature a “Best Vero Beach Wings” cooking competition, as well as plenty of kid-friendly activities for the little ones in the family.

Two stages and four bands will provide entertainment. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

ShrimpFest and Craft Brew Hullabaloo – February 25, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. – Old Historic School House

Back and better than ever the ShrimpFest & Craft Brew Hullabaloo will feature some of Florida’s finest shrimp and Florida craft and homebrew beer. Vendor booths open at 9:00 am, opening ceremonies start at 9:45 am and food booths open at 11:00 am, with free entry and parking, live music, exciting kids’ activities, and more.

Local restaurants and organizations will compete for the bragging rights to the winning recipe and the coveted “Second Annual Golden Shrimp Award”. Last year’s winner, The Old Fish House Bar & Grill, will be back and will be competing with even more restaurants than last year. Non-seafood options will also be offered throughout the weekend.
